Does lifetime learning credit Carryover?

I hit my $2000 Lifetime learning credit for FY2016.

However for FY 2015. I did not claim Lifetime learning credit as i did not have sufficient tax withheld?

Can i carryover my lifetime learning credit from 2015 as I had paid over $10,000 of tuition.

The IRS does not permit any carryover of education credits. The education expenses paid in a given year can only be applied to an education credit on that particular year's tax return.
