Question

Does the CRRSAA emergency grant I received from my school count as part of the third stimulus in early 2021?

My university announced that we were getting a grant as part of the CRRSAA Emergency Relief act in mid April of 2021. I am not sure if this counts as the third stimulus for my taxes.

It does not.  The third stimulus payment is only $1400 per eligible person on your tax return.  The emergency grants for students do not get reported on your tax return.  The payments will not be on your 1098-T nor will you receive any 1099 to report that payment. The grants are non-taxable.
