No, in TurboTax enter the 1098-T first, then enter ADDITIONAL aid no reported on the 1098-T if applicable.

Don't repeat what you reported on the 1098-T

Q. I need to record my payments received for qualified tuition and related expenses?

The amount of tuition is already in box 1 of the 1098-T. The amount of scholarship is already in box 5. TurboTax will automatically match them.  If you have qualified  expenses, not listed in box 1, enter them at books and other materials.  Note: room and board are not qualified expenses for an education credit or tax free scholarship.

If box 1 of the 1098-T is inaccurate: In the 1098-T screen, click on the link "What if this is not what I paid the school" underneath box 1. You will then be able to enter the actual amounts paid.
