I entered my daughters education information and it said I don't qualify to deduct the expenses. should i just start over? i cant figure out what i did wrong.

To be able to claim your daughter's education expenses your daughter has to be your dependent. Another issue can be if your income is over a certain limit.

Please review the requirements for the education credit:

Who is eligible to take the American Opportunity Tax Credit? and Who is eligible for the Lifetime Learning Credit?

You have to answer each question carefully in the education section. Sometimes it might be beneficial to delete a section and reenter it. Please see How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?
