I paid over $50k in tuition fee for my son in 2019. He is in medical college. Education credit calculated by turbotax is '0' for 2019. Is this correct?

Also, if you took AOTC during his 4 years of college, he wouldn't be eligible for that in medical school.

In order to claim the tuition credit or deduction, the student must qualify as your dependent.  Grad students are not eligible for the more generous AOTC, but can still get the Lifetime learning credit or Tuition and Fees deduction.

There are income limits for both.
