EIN for a university outside the united states

Hello, I attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and I am having a hard time locating the EIN number. Last year I was able to do this successfully, but now I am getting errors and it says I am not eligible because there is no EIN number. What can I do?

Try this:

Enter your school at the link below, to see if it's on the dept. of education list.

https://fafsa.ed.gov/FAFSA/app/schoolSearch?locale=en_EN (choose foreign country for state)

If your school is not on that list, it is not an "eligible institution".

Even if the school is eligible, I believe the IRS changed the regulations and you can't claim tuition tax credits unless the school actually issues a form 1098-T. If they do, the 1098 will have their EIN.
