Employer pays for school but i received a 1098-t. Do i file it?

It depend;

If your employer reimbursed you for the education tuition, you don't need to report the 1098-T on your tax return. Amount up to $5250 received form the employer can be excluded from your taxable Income.

If you received other Grants and the amount exceeds your tuition, report the

1098-T form, answer the questions and TurboTax will determine if any of the amount is taxable.
