Throughout the program you can enter text in explanation sheets. Where do I find these in the future years? Doesn't make sense to go thru all that bother to be detailed when they don't print with the full package (even when printing all forms and all worksheets.)

Nope. I have the box unchecked, it did not print. I printed the pdf to a file. You don't need to print to paper to verify it doesn't print.

The supporting details print on a separate page at the very end of the PDF. The heading and bookmark are "Additional Information From 2022 Federal Tax Return." It is included when you select "Tax Return, all calculation worksheets," or when you print just the 1099-R and select "Form and supporting statements" or just select "Form 1099-R" if you print while viewing the 1099-R in forms mode.

Please provide a specific example. Almost everything is captured on the work sheets.

And of course, now I can't find it. It's the section where you can enter details for the conversion from an IRA to a Roth. I thought I went to forms, and next to the dollar value there was a box that I clicked on. An 'explanation sheet' came up, and I was able to type in text such as convert 2 shares of appl from IRA to Roth IRA on 2-23-2022.

I'm pretty sure the same problem occurs where you can detail your maintenance expenses for rental property. That sheet doesn't print either.

Specifically, I found an example. From the 2021 form, but it would be the same with 2022. Turbotax Premiere. Go to form 1099-R line 1. Put a number in for Gross Distribution. Click on the '+' sign. This opens a supporting details box. Enter supporting details. This information does not print when I print the entire tax set of forms and worksheets.
