Lenders can enter any other item they wish to report to the payer on Form 1098 Box 10, such as real estate taxes, insurance paid from escrow, or, if they are a collection agent, the name of the person for whom they collected the interest.

If form 1098 doesn't show the amount of property tax paid, you can contact your county office. As long as the real estate tax was paid, you can deduct it, regardless if your document shows it or not.

Where do I enter my real estate (property) taxes in TurboTax Online?
