Question

For some reason it thinks I was a student last year and I can't find where to change this. Please help! I paid off student loans last year, but that's it.

TurboTax will carry over information from the previous year, including info about your school.

 

There are two places that you may need to edit.  In the personal info section, it will ask if you were a student. 

 

Later, in the educational expenses section, it will have carried over the school info. At the screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click delete next to the student's  name.
