Form 1116

I have entered all required data for Form 1116 Comp worksheet.  But TURBOTAX DELUXE will not complete the form showing my foreign tax deduction.

    To clarify are you taking the deduction or credit? If you are taking the deduction, it would show up as an itemized deduction in your return in a Schedule A.  If you are taking a credit, can you send me screenshots of the 1116 Comp Worksheet to see why you are not receiving the credit.

     

    As an FYI, if you did not have enough deductions to itemize this year thus taking the standard deduction, the deduction will not be applied if you chose to take the deduction in lieu of the credit.
