Grad Health Insurance paid by university - is it taxable?

My university pays for my health insurance (and student health service fees) as part of my graduate student package. The amount (~6k total) is not reported in my W2 form and I do not get a 1098-T form (the university does not provide it). Similar to tuition, the amount is billed to me but then paid by the university. Does it count as income, and is thus taxable?

Any help is appreciated!

Generally, amounts of employer-paid health insurance and related student health fees aren't counted as taxable income for the employee, assuming part of your graduate package is for your work as a graduate assistant. Since the payment was made directly to the insurer and not to you, it's likely excluded from taxable income.
