Health Care in 2 States (for College)

Hi! Here's my situation. I am an MA resident and from Jan-Aug 2019 I had health insurance through work (which is reflected on my 1099-HC).  Then in August, I started a graduate degree in DC, and got school insurance through CareFirst BlueShield, although I retained my MA residency. I received a 1095-B from CareFirst. The issue is, I cannot seem to enter the info from my 1095-B, so I'm at a loss for proving that I met MCC (minimum credible care) in MA from September-December. 

 

How can I avoid paying a penalty for being underinsurance when I, in fact, was insured?

Companies not based in Massachusetts are generally not required to file the 1099-HC.  The 1099-B meets the qualifications.  Go back to the Massachusetts Health Insurance information and look for the Tell us about YOUR private health insurance.  You must check the "I didn't receive a 1099-HC from this insurance company".  See below.
