How do I deduct books I bought for my classroom?

TurboTax Deluxe Online

To deduct Educator expenses:

Select Federal from the left side menu.
Select Deductions and Credits toward the upper left.
Expand the list and scroll down to Employment expenses.
Expand the section and click Start to the right of Teacher Expenses.
Ander the next question Yes.
Enter your expenses on the next screen and click Continue.

The deduction is limited to $250, but you can take the deduction even if you don't itemize.
