Question

How do I delete a 1098? When I used the "Take a picture" option to upload my form, I now have a second 1098 and I can't get rid of it.

I had one last year from MyBank.  TurboTax carried over a row for MyBank but when I used the "Take a picture" option to fill it in, it created a second 1098 "MyBank Bank" and now I can't remove it.

If you're in TurboTax Online, go to Deductions & Credits and START.

 

On the next page, 'Your Tax Breaks', click Edit/Add under Mortgage Interest and Refinancing, Form 1098 (should be first item on listing). 

 

On the next page, you should see a summary of your 1098 entries.

 

Delete the one you don't want.
