Question

How do I enter statement of interest earned from grant deed loans which earned interest but the statement of accounts are NOT 1099s?

Enter Interest without 1099-INT:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click on Federal tab.
  3. Click on Wages & Income.
  4. Click on Edit/Add next to Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-K, Crypto)
  5. Enter a different way.
  6. Click on Interest box, then Continue.
  7. Type it myself.
  8. Enter Payer's name.
  9. Enter amount of Interest in Box 1, then Continue.
  10. Answer Do any of these uncommon situations apply?, then Continue.
