how do you know if your school/employer is federally funded? I want to take the school teacher credit.

    Almost all public schools in the United States are federally funded. You ask the principal or other administrator to be sure, or look at the annual report and see if the sources of funding include amounts from federal sources.

    What "school teacher credit" is it that you want to take. There is no such  federal credit. There is a deduction for teacher supplies. But there is no federal funding condition for that.

     

    If this is a state credit, which state.
