HOW DOES BEING A STUDENT EMPLOYEE ON CAMPUS EFFECT MY TAXES?

I work on my college campus, and am enrolled in 6  credits this past semester, after beginning work. Is there a tax credit available to me, as taxes were waived by my statyus, and therefore not taken out.

As an employee, you will receive a W-2.  You are required to file  a tax return under the same rules as everybody else.

See filing requirements at https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/filing-and-paying-taxes/help/do-i-need-to-file-a-federal-return-this-year/00/25546

The one exception is that you usually do not have to pay FICA (social security and Medicare) tax.  Most likely your employer did not withhold those (boxes 4 & 6 on your W-2 will be blank or zero).  If they did withhold FICA, you cannot get it refunded when you file your tax return.

That's the ONLY tax they withheld, as apparently I made too little for them to withhold.

You'll have to talk to your employer about why they did that and if you can get a refund (they have to try to get it back from IRS).
