College expenses can only be claimed if the college is an  Eligible Educational Institution - Internal Revenue Service.

The school is on the list, but they don’t have any EIN. TurboTax keep asking me for an EIN how can I fill it out to get the lifetime learning credit?

Just keep pressing continue.   I don't encounter a problem on my desktop (download) Deluxe. You may have to delete the student and start over.

Without an EIN, you will not be able to claim the more generous American Opportunity credit.  If your school is on the list, you can claim the Lifetime Learning Credit without a US federal EIN.
