If you are a 19 year old full-time student your parents can claim you as a dependent on their tax return.  If you file your own tax return you MUST say in My Info that you can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return.  Your parents are the ones who get to use the education credits on their tax return.

You can still file a return to seek a refund of tax withheld--that is fine--just make sure you answer the dependency question correctly.
