Question

I am a TN resident who is a full-time college student in England. In 2019, I worked in a UK cafe and earned US$1066. How do I report that income on my 2019 tax returns?

If your total *TAXABLE* income from all sources is less than $12,300 then you don't even need to file a U.S. tax return, as you will not pay any U.S. taxes on it at all. Your taxable income includes:

- Money earned at a job or through self emeployment

- Excess scholarship monies that were not used for QUALIFIED education expenses.

So unless you have other reportable income I see no need for you to file a U.S. tax return at all.
