I am unable to deduct 1098 T paid for sons tuition. He is 27 yrs old. Your application denied deduction but did not give reason

You can only claim tuition expenses for yourself, your spouse, and dependents

A 27 year-old son can only be your dependent (for tax purposes) if he made less than $4050 and you provided more than 50% of his financial support.  You may need to revisit the dependent interview if this is the case.

He qualifies as a dependant per your answer but your system will not allow me to enter the 1098 T for a deduction.
