Question

I completed the PMP certification and am trying to get to the Lifetime Learning Credit, but not finding it. What am I doing wrong?

I took a course in 2019, it ended in 2020, then I took the exam itself. I feel like I can claim those expenses but want to be sure. Thank you!

The rules for claiming the Lifetime Learning Credit can be found at this IRS webpage.

 

To me, your biggest concern is "Did you take this course at an eligible education institution (see the definition at the link)?" and "Did you receive a 1098-T from this institution?"

 

Note the link for Interactive education credit app - this will be a Q&A to find out if you are eligible to take this credit.
