I do not get the lifetime learning credit so Why do I need to upgrade?

If you upgraded to enter your education information, but it didn't give you any benefit, you can downgrade to the version you used before, but you will have to review your tax information afterward. 

If you think your return may qualify for Free, follow these directions:

1. Click on Tax Tools near the bottom of the left side menu.
2. All the way at the bottom, select Return to Free.
3. The next screen explains the program will keep most of your information, but you may need to re-enter some of it. 
4. Once you confirm that is what you want to do, you will be taken back to the beginning of the return and you will need to review and possibly re-enter some of your information.
