If you are referring to a 1098 Mortgage Statement:

Box 10 on a 1098 is usually on the left side of the form, under your address.

It is not under box 9, it is to the left of that box.

It reports how many properties you have under this loan.

It is usually blank. If blank, leave the entry in the TurboTax software blank.

If you are referring to a 1098-T Tuition Statement:

Box 10 should be below box 7.

It reports any insurance reimbursements you may have gotten from the school.

It is usually blank. If blank, leave the entry in the TurboTax software blank.
