Question

I don't qualify for the American Opportunity Credit because, apparently, I am less than a half-time student. I am in a job-embedded program. Does it count as full-time?

A. Part time.  The job-embedded program doesn't change that.  It's the course load that counts.

 

Two courses (6 semester hours) is half time at most schools.  You should verify your status with the school.  If you qualify as half time that box (half time) is usually checked on your form 1098-T.
