Question

I don't understand the "box 7" question? It's not "checked" on my 1098's, however my address is in box 8? Should I mark box 7 as checked?

Also, we took a 2nd mortgage and the only options are line of credit and refinance.  Do I record the interest under line of credit?

If the address of the property is your address you can mark that box 7 is marked.  If the 2nd mortgage was not a refinance then you can mark that it is a line of credit.
