Question

I finally completed my Bachelor's degree after 20 years. Can I claim anything for this last class I took that cost $2500?

You can probably get a deduction or credit of some kind. Go to the education expenses section and answer all the questions. TurboTax will figure out what you can claim.

In the Search box type "education expenses" (without the quotes), then click the link that says "Jump to education expenses."

You must be half time or more for the more generous American Opportunity Credit (AOTC).  But a single course qualifies for the non refundable  Lifetime Learning Credit  (LLC) or Tuition and Fees Deduction (TFD). TurboTax will select the best one for you. It's usually the LLC which is 20% of qualifying expenses, e.g. 20% x $2500 = $500.
