Question

I (including my parents) have only taken the American Opportunity Credit for Tuition one time, but TT says I took it 4 times. I have always filed with TT Online, so why?

It says: Reason for Not Qualifying "Already claimed 4 years of credits" but I/we did not.

Go back thru the interview and check you answer to that question.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to “Education Information”.
