Try these steps to edit your expenses: Login toTurboTax.com. Click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen. If prompted, click on Continue where I left off or Take me to my return. Choose Deductions and Credits. Expand the Education section. Click on Start (or Revisit). Proceed through the entire education section answering all of the additional questions - you will go through about 8-10 additional screens, and then you should reach a summary page. On the Education Summary screen at the end of the section, click Edit/Delete. Edit your entries. If you still cannot edit the data or you cannot get to the Education Summary screen, follow these additional steps: Click on Tax Tools in the menu on the left of the screen. Click on Tools. Scroll down the list of forms and click delete beside Form 1098-T. Confirm on the next screen by clicking Delete Form. Scroll down the list of forms again and click Delete beside Education Tuition and Fees Summary. Again, confirm on the next screen by clicking Delete Form.This should clear the section out entirely and let you start fresh.

I need to go back and edit my tuition and fees deduction and it wont let me. How can I go back?

You cannot directly edit the Tuition and Fees Deduction (TFD). That is, you cannot change it from $2000 to $4000 or vice versa.

If you want to change the TFD to one of the tuition credits (LLC or AOC),

type> letme <in the search box, to get to that screen.

If what you want to do is change some of your entries; Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to the section you want to change; probably tuition, in your case.
