If you claim the tuition credit, you do need to report that you got a 1098-T or that you qualify for an exception (the TurboTax interview will handle this).

Not all colleges mail out a paper copy of your 1098-T.  Check you college account, on line.

In TurboTax (TT), enter at:

Federal Taxes Tab (Personal for H&B version)

Deductions & Credits

Did you only enroll in that one class in 2019? If so, then there's no way you were a "full time student" for at least one semester during the tax year. Therefore, you don't have any qualifying education expenses.

EXCEPTION: If you enrolled in a class for the summer semester, then the college "could" consider you a full time student for that one semester. That would be enough for you to qualify.
