Without knowing your filing status, income and more, I don't know if it will help. It won't hurt to try. You should definitely input all your expenses to which you are entitled.

Follow these steps:

1. When you go into the Personal Deductions and Credits,
2. choose Mortgage Interest.
3. Type in the name of the lender, type in the person's name
4. The program will say Tell us more about your loan from Person you listed,
5. Select This is a seller-financed loan and I did not receive a 1098. Continue
6. Enter the information, continue on

The person that you pay the money to, is required to file the interest they earn on Sch B regardless of what you file on your return.

If you do not have their social security number or EIN, and this helps your return, you will need to mail in your return.
