I received a 1098-e, but it was a consolidation loan paid by the government. How do i report this as I did not pay this?

If you did not pay any interest on a student loan in 2023 then you have nothing to enter about your student loan on a 2023 tax return.  Keep the document for your own records.

Since you did not pay the interest you do enter enter the Form 1098-E on your tax return.
