Question

I received a fellowship stipend in 2020 as a research assistant but did not get a 1098-T form from my institution. I am unable to add this stipend on turbotax. Any help?

After entering the 1098-T, one of the follow up screens will ask if you scholarships or other assistance. answer yes and you will get an entry screen.

I dont have 1098-T form. 

Can you please outline the steps to complete this. Unfortunately this information is not so clearly available on turnotax website.

In TurboTax (TT), enter at:

Federal Taxes Tab (Personal for H&B version)

Deductions & Credits

-Scroll down to:

--Education

  --Education Expenses

Follow the interview, you'll eventually be asked about scholarships.
