Your question was cut-off but your travel to and from work or school is not a deductible expense.  If you paid qualified education expenses, you should have received a Form 1098-T from the school you attended.  Depending on your income and other factors, you may eligible for education credits.  Contact your school if you have not yet received your 1098-T.

Travel/transportation is not a deductible education expense.  Sorry.

Provide us with more information.  Were you claimed as a dependent on anyone (parent) else's tax return?  Did you not receive a 1098T from your school?  If you are being claimed as someone else's dependent then they can use the education credit on their tax return.  If you cannot be claimed as a dependent then you can claim education credit for qualified education expenses.

There is not deduction, or credit,  for gas or other commuting expenses.

If your tuition was covered by grants and scholarships, there is still no deduction or credit (in most cases)  If tuition expenses were paid by loans, that's handled differently.

Why didn't you get a form 1098-T?  Do you check your school account, online, for the form?  Are you your parent's  dependent?
