If claiming education credits will the refund be delayed this year?

The IRS did not specifically mention that returns claiming Education Credits would be delayed this year.  However, returns claiming a refundable portion of the American Opportunity Credit will most likely see a delay as well, just like in past years.

Refunds with educational credits are being held until May 1st according to the irs.
