Probably not.

"You're an eligible educator if, for the tax year you're a kindergarten through grade 12 teacher, instructor, counselor, principal or aide for at least 900 hours a school year in a school that provides elementary or secondary education as determined under state law".   https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc458#:~:text=If%20you're%20an%20eligible,unreimbursed%20trade%20or%20business%20expenses.&text=This%20deduction%20is%20for%20expenses%20paid%20or%20incurred%20during%20the%20tax%20year.

I agree.  This is exactly my daughter's situation, too, and I advised her not to claim expenses.
