If I am a student and independent making under $30K a year why am I not receiving tax deductions on tuition expenses paid by my parents?

Did you receive a 1098-T? Did you have an amount in Box 1 greater than your scholarship amount? Amounts paid by your parents count as amounts paid by you. If you can't find any mistakes on your entries, you can delete the form and re-enter it.
