If I enrolled in an online educational program, does it qualify me as a full time student?

You need to consider two things to determine if you are a full-time student. 

 

One is how the school where you are enrolled defines full time.  Usually that would depend on the number of classes or hours you are taking at a time.

 

The other factor is whether you are enrolled at least 5 months during the year.

 

If you meet both of these qualifications, then for tax purposes you are a full-time student.
