Question

If I graduated from college late April, does that count as full time even though it requires five months of school?

It depends on what tax attribute you're trying to claim.  For the purpose of your parent being able to claim you as a dependent, under the "Qualifying Child" rules, they cannot,  because you did not meet the 5 month rule (they might still be able to claim you under the qualifying relative rules, but that has a $4300 income test).

As far as your being able to claim a tuition credit, you were a fulltime student for one term, so you qualify. There is no 5 month rule for that.
