Solved

If I take the Lifetime Learning Credit now, but the Tuition and Fees Deduction ends up getting approved, can I amend and take that one instead (or as well)?

Based on last year, the Tuition deduction was more valuable than the Lifetime Learning credit...

If the tax law changes for this area you can Amend the return.

Depending on the changes (if made) whatever the rules are with those changes you can do.

You actually have up to 3 years from the due date of 4-15-2019 so until 4-15-2022

Ok, so it's better to keep the Lifetime for now, and I can amend if needed?
