The EIN is entered on the 1098-T entry page where it appears to be already entered correctly. The EIN error often means there is an extra space in the EIN box that you cannot pick out. One cause for this is when the EIN is pasted into the field.
Try to completely delete the EIN from the field and any extra spaces that might exist. Then, re-enter the EIN manually.
If that does not resolve your issue, you may have to delete that entire 1098-T and then re-enter it.
