In order to go to my school for the degree I am getting I have to have tools and I have been making payments on them for MAC tools and MATCO am I able to use that on here

A. Yes. Those count as course materials required for attendance.

Enter in the books and other expenses section as materials not required to be purchased from the school. They will qualify for the American Opportunity Credit but not the Lifetime Learning Credit.
