Interest with no 1098

If I have a mortgage with a private lender and have no 1098 where do input this interest.  I have a signed mortgage note.

You will enter it in the same place you would with a mortgage with a regular bank.

 

As you go through the beginning questions, it will ask if any of these situations apply,  In this part, you will answer "This is a seller-financed loan and I did not receive a 1098"

 

To get to the mortgage section, select:

 

  1. Deductions and Credits
  2. Mortgage Interest, Points, Refinancing and Insurance
