Is scholarship money awarded in another state counted as income in that state or the state of residence?

I am a resident of Arizona but go to college in another state. In what state would the scholarship money be counted as income? Currently, my forms are trying to file my scholarship as Arizona income, is this correct?

Yes, the scholarship money would be reported to the state of residence.   Even though you go to a college in another state, unless you change your state of residence (change your Driver's License) you are not considered a resident of the state where you attend college.

Yes that is only  AZ income.  Taxable scholarships are not considered as sourced in the state where the school is, but in the student's state of residence.
