Hello,

I am completing thee 1098-T portion of the federal tax return. It asks if I was working on an associate, bachelor's or graduate degree. I am in law school, so I am working on getting my juris doctor (J.D.) degree. Does the J.D. count as a graduate degree?

Yes.    It is asking if you have received an associate or bachelors degree to determine if you could be eligible for the American Opportunity Credit.  Since you have achieved a bachelors degree already you are not eligible for the AOC, but may be able to use the Tuition and Fees deduction or the Lifetime Learning Credit
