How do I return to the page that displays how many years you have claimed the Lifetime Learning Credit and American Opportunity Credit previously?  I reviewed my taxes and when I go through the education deductions it will not appear again.  I need to make a change.

Here is how to get back to the area in TurboTax where you can change your answer to whether you've completed four years of undergraduate education:

 Please follow these steps:

  • Sign in to your TurboTax account
  • Click on Take me to my return (orange button)
  • Click on Federal Taxes tab
  • Click on Deductions & Credits
  • Scroll down to Education and click Revisit next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)
  • Click Edit next to your name on Your Education Expenses Summary
  • Click Edit to right of your 1098-T
  • On Type in the info from your 1098-T screen ensure box 9 is checked in TurboTax if checked on your Form 1098-T
  • When brought to Here's Your Education Summary screen click Edit to right of Education Information.
  • On Had You Earned Four Years of College Credit Before 2016? screen ensure radio button is clicked to left of Yes.
