Live in Wisconsin and work 0.75+ full time, can I deduct tuition if I go to University of Cincinnati online?

Hello,

So I work in Wisconsin and attend the university of Cincinnati online classes and typically take about 9 credits a semester. I have been reading about the Wisconsin college university tuition subtraction but I can’t figure out if I would be able to deduct my tuition from attending university of Cincinnati.

No, unfortunately, for the college tuition subtraction, the college has to be in Wisconsin or paid to a Wisconsin college.

Qualifying tuition is tuition paid for:

Classes in Wisconsin at a school which qualifies as a university, college, or technical college
Classes in Wisconsin at other post-secondary schools that have been approved through the Educational Approval Program
Classes in Minnesota at a public vocational school or public institution of higher education in Minnesota under the Minnesota-Wisconsin tuition reciprocity agreement, and
Classes outside Wisconsin provided the tuition is paid to a university, college or technical college located in Wisconsin.
