My 1098 does not have an amount in box 1 turbo is not letting me finish

In your open return type "points" into the search box and click on the "Jump to" link in the search results.  When you get to the screen asking the for the 1098 information, just enter the Morgage origination date (date you got the loan) in Box 3.  Do not type anything into the other boxes, not even zeros, then click "Continue". On the next screen choose "We paid points when we purchased or refinanced to improve our main home in 2018", and click "Continue". On the next screen choose "Points only appear on our Closing Disclosure of HUD-1".  This will allow you to enter the points "Original charges". Follow the programs prompts to complete your entry.
