My 1098-T Form lists the total grants split between my Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semester, is the half for my Spring semester aid "Not Awarded for 2019 Expenses"?

Right. It is common for aid to be granted in Dec 2019 for the next semester.

What do you have in box 1? What do you have in box 5? It sounds like you have a statement saying that you received money for spring 2020. If you paid for spring 2020 in 2019, that should be in your box 1. There would not be a problem.

If you got money, in box 5 for grants, but did not pay in 2019, then box 1 would have only 1 or 2 semesters in it. Depending on how you paid for spring 2019, if 2018 or 2019.
